This illustrated merchandise collection was created in collaboration with the Belize Zoo to celebrate the country’s vibrant wildlife and connect with visitors in a fun, memorable way. The project includes a series of shirts and stickers featuring fan-favorite animals, blending accurate representation with playful, contemporary design. From realistic shirt illustrations to bold, whimsical stickers, each piece was designed to engage audiences of all ages and serve as a meaningful takeaway from their visit. A special edition design for World Tapir Day rounds out the collection, honoring Belize’s national animal with a unified shirt-and-sticker design that highlights the zoo’s ongoing conservation efforts.
Shirts
The shirts in this collection were inspired by the Belize Zoo’s existing merchandise, which celebrates Belize’s rich flora and fauna through realistic photography. Instead of using photographs, we chose to illustrate specific fan-favorite animals from the zoo, adding a sense of whimsy, fun, and contemporary style. This illustrated approach invites deeper emotional connection and engagement, offering visitors a memorable and visually distinctive keepsake from their travel experience.
Stickers
This playful set of nine stickers takes a more creative and colorful approach, departing from realism to highlight the charm and personality of Belize Zoo’s beloved animals. Designed with bold colors and imaginative flair, they’re perfect for decorating laptops, water bottles, or notebooks—fun, compact souvenirs that bring a bit of the zoo adventure home.
World Tapir Day
To celebrate World Tapir Day, we created a special edition design featuring the Central American tapir, Belize’s national animal and a favorite at the Belize Zoo. This design was used for both a shirt and a sticker, combining our signature illustration style with a touch of whimsy and charm. Following the same creative direction as the main collection, it highlights the tapir in a way that’s both engaging and memorable. The design offers a fun, meaningful way for visitors to show their support for wildlife and take home a piece of the celebration.
